Kenya’s 2025 National Police Service recruitment exercise, scheduled for 17 November 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., has been formally announced through an extensive advert that outlines application requirements and lists all designated venues across the forty-seven counties.
The advert emphasizes physical presence at the centres and stresses the seriousness of the process, yet a closer look at the geography, distribution, and administrative organization of the venues exposes both logistical strengths and structural weaknesses that will shape the outcomes and fairness of this nationwide operation.
To understand the emerging issues, it is necessary to examine the process from the ground up, beginning with how the recruitment centres themselves have been distributed across the republic.
In Mombasa County, the recruitment will take place at Kisauni Sub County Police Headquarters for Kisauni, the A.S.K. Showground in Nyali, Mvita Grounds for Mombasa sub-county, Changamwe Oil Refineries grounds for Changamwe, Amani Primary School for Jomvu and Likoni Approved Grounds for Likoni.
Kwale County will use Matuga Baraza Park, the DCC’s Office in Shimba Hills, Msambweni Stadium, Vurungani Stadium in Kinango, Kasarani Grounds in Samburu, and Lunga Lunga Secondary School.
Kilifi County has Karisa Maitha Stadium for Kilifi North, the DCC’s Office in Kikambala for Kilifi South, Banda La Salama in Chonyi, Alska Grounds in Malindi, Mkapuni Open Grounds in Rabai, Ganze Primary School, the DCC’s Office in Kauma at Jaribuni, Marafa Polytechnique in Magarini and Kaloleni Grounds.
Tana River County venues include Hola Stadium, the DCC’s Office in Wayu for Galledyertu, Kokane, Bura Sub County Headquarters, the DCC’s Office in Madogo for Bangale, Tana Delta Sub County Headquarters, and the DCC’s Office in Tarasaa.
Lamu County will recruit at Kibaki Grounds Mokomani for Lamu Central, Mpeketoni Tiger Grounds for Lamu West and Faza Football Field for Lamu East.
Taita Taveta County will use Taveta Airstrip, Voi Stadium, Soko ya Samani Play Grounds in Mwatate and Wundanyi Stadium.
In the northern corridor, Garissa County centres include Garissa PTC Grounds, the DCC’s Offices in Fafi, Bura East, Balambala, Sankuri, Bothai, Shantabaq, Dadaab Police Station, Liboi DCC’s Office, Masalani Police Divisional Headquarters in Ijara and Hulugho Police Divisional Headquarters.
Wajir County will recruit at the DCC’s Office in Tarbaj, the DCC’s Office in Kotulo, Wajir Stadium for Wajir East, Khorof Harar DCC’s Office, Griftu Play Grounds, the DCC’s Office in Hadado, Bute Police Station, Buna Grounds, the DCC’s Office in Korondille, Leheley Play Ground, the DCC’s Office in Diff, Habaswein Baraza Park, Sabuli, Eldas Baraza Park and the DCC’s Office at Elnur.
Mandera County venues include Mandera Stadium for Mandera East, the DCC’s Office in Khalalio, Arabia DCC’s Office, Elwak Police Station for Mandera Central, Kotulo Police Divisional Headquarters, the DCC’s Office in Takaba, the DCC’s Office in Dandu, Lafey Headquarters, Baraza Park in Banisa, the DCC’s Office in Kiliwehiri, the DCC’s Office in Rhamu for Mandera North and the DCC’s Office in Ashabito.
Marsabit County will use Marsabit Stadium, Laisamis Police Division Headquarters, Loiyangalani Police Station, Maikona DCC’s Office, Turbi DCC’s Office, North Horr Police Divisional Headquarters, Dukana DCC’s Office, Moyale Police Station and Sololo Youth Play Ground.
Isiolo County’s centres include Isiolo Police Divisional Headquarters, Merti DCC’s Headquarters, Malkagalla DCC’s Office for Cherab and Garbatulla Police Divisional Headquarters.
Meru County’s venues include Githongo Stadium, Maua Stadium, the DCC’s Office in Akachiu, Nkubu Stadium for Mitunguu, the DCC’s Offices in Kanyakine and Igoji, Uuru Stadium in Tigania West, Mikinduri Stadium, Nguthiru Stadium, Kangeta DCC Play Ground, Kiengu DCC’s Office, Muringine Play Ground, Mutuati DCC’s Office, Timau Stadium, Kiirua DCC’s Office, Kinoru Stadium and Thuura Secondary School.
Tharaka Nithi County features Igamba Ng’ombe Grounds, Chuka DCC’s Grounds, Kibugua DCC’s Office, Kienganguru Grounds, Marima DCC’s Office, Marimanti Stadium, Kibung’a, Chiakariga DCC’s Office, Katunga Police Station and Mukothima DCC’s Office.
Embu County will use Runyenjes Municipal Stadium, Kairuri Stadium, Moi Municipal Stadium, Mbeere North DCC’s Grounds, Umau Grounds and the DCC’s Office in Karaba.
Kitui County’s venues extend through Kauwi Stadium, Nguni, Mathuki DCC’s Grounds, Nuu TVET Grounds, Migwani Stadium, Musila Play Ground, Kyuso Stadium, Tseikuru Stadium, Mbitini Police Station, St. Luke Boys Secondary School in Lower Yatta, Katulani DCC’s Office Grounds, Kitui Old Municipal Stadium, Matinyani Kwamkoma Play Ground, Mutitu DCC’s Grounds, Zombe Stadium, Mutitu Stadium, Mutomo Stadium, Katse Football Pitch in Mumoni, Ikutha Stadium, Thagichu DCC’s Office and Chuluni DCC’s Office.
Machakos County will recruit at Kisukioni Play Ground in Matungulu, Masinga Sub County Headquarters, Masii Stadium, Mitaboni DO’s Office, KMC Grounds in Athi River, Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, Kalama DCC’s Office, Kangundo DEB, Yatta Field Unit NYS Grounds and other designated areas.
Makueni County includes Kibwezi Sports Ground, Kambu DCC’s Office, Kyembeke Police Station Ground, Mukaa Sub County Headquarters, Makindu Sports Ground, Matiliku DCC’s Office, Kathonzweni Public Grounds, Makueni Police Divisional Headquarters, Kakima DEB and Mbooni East DCC’s Office. Nyandarua County venues span Olkalou Stadium, Ndaragwa Police Sub County Headquarters, Shamata DCC’s Office, Ol Jororok Play Ground, Ngano DCC’s Office, Mirangine DCC’s Office, Wanjohi DCC’s Office, Wakiongo Stadium, Engineer and Rurinja Stadium in Njambini.
Nyeri County will conduct recruitment at Kaiyaba Chief’s Camp for Mathira West, Karatina Stadium, Moi Kibaki grounds for Nyeri South, Chaka Play Ground, Mweiga Stadium, Ruringu Stadium, Wamagana Play Ground and Mukurweini Stadium.
Kirinyaga County centres include Kianyaga Stadium, Kerugoya Stadium, Kianjanga Grounds, Kandongu Hospital Grounds and Wang’uru Stadium.
Murang’a County offers Ihura Stadium, Kahuro Stadium, Kigumo Bendera Play Grounds, Kimorori DCC’s Office, Gatunyu Play Ground, Kirathani Sports Ground, Rurie Stadium, Kandara Stadium and Kangema General Kago Stadium.
Kiambu County’s venues include Ndumberi Stadium, Thika Municipal Stadium, Kilimambogo Play Grounds, Premier Bag Grounds in Juja, the DCC’s Office in Murera, Kirangari Vocational Training Center, Alliance High School, Karuri Play Grounds, Kwambira Stadium, Ndeiya DCC’s Office, Ruiru Municipal Stadium, Mwihoko Police Station Play Ground, Kamwangi DCC’s Office, Gatundu Town Stadium, Githunguri Stadium and Kirenga Stadium.
Turkana County will use Moi Garden, Lokori DCC’s Office, Kapedo DCC’s Office, Kakuma Airstrip, Lokichoggio DCC’s Office, Lokitaung Stadium, Kibish DCC’s Office, Lorugum Resource Centre, Lokiriama DCC’s Office, Lokichar DCC’s Office and Kainuk DCC’s Office.
West Pokot County features Makutano Stadium, Chebareria DCC’s Office, Kabichbich DCC’s Office, Sigor DCC’s Office, Alale Airstrip and Kacheliba DCC’s Office.
Samburu County will recruit at Maralal DCC’s Office, Baragoi DCC’s Office and Wamba Market.
Trans Nzoia County uses Kenyatta Stadium in Kitale, Saboti DCC’s Office, Kwanza Police Patrol Base, Kiminini Primary School, Endebes Primary School and Kachebora DCC’s Office.
Uasin Gishu County includes Turbo DCC’s Office, Chepkigen in Ziwa, Waunifor Stadium, Moiben Grounds, Kesses DCC’s Office and Eldoret ASK Showground.
Elgeyo Marakwet County’s centres include Police Division Headquarters in Iten Township, Kapsowar Play Ground, Chepkorio DCC’s Office, Chesoi Chief’s Camp and Chesongoch DCC’s Office.
Nandi County has Kabiyet High School, Kobujoi DCC’s Office, Nandi Hills Stadium, Kapsabet Parade Ground, Maraba DCC’s Office and Chemundu Sub County Headquarters.
Baringo County venues include Chemolingot Stadium, Tangulbei DCC’s Office, Kolowa DCC’s Office, Mogotio Stadium, Eldama Ravine Stadium, Kabarnet Showground, Marigat Sports Grounds, Mukutani DCC’s Office, Moi Primary School Kabartonjo and Barwessa DCC’s Office.
Laikipia County will recruit at Nanyuki Stadium, Sirima Grounds, Nyahururu Municipal Stadium, Rumuruti Grounds, Olmoran DCC’s Office and Doldol Trading Centre.
Nakuru County will use Olonguruoni Stadium, Sirikwa DCC’s Office, Bahati Centre, Gilgil Stadium, Kampi ya Moto DCC’s Office, Subukia Play Ground, Naivasha DCC’s Office, Molo Municipal Stadium, Afraha Stadium, Kaptembwa Grounds and Njoro Police Station.
Narok County’s venues include Narok Stadium, Olokurto DCC’s Office, Ololulunga Baraza Park, Sogoo DCC’s Office, Lamek DCC’s Office, Nairagie Enkare DCC’s Office, Kilgoris DCC’s Office, Lolgorian DCC’s Office and Emurua Dikirr Sub County Headquarters.
Kajiado County will host recruitment at Kajiado DCC’s Office, Ngatataek DCC’s Office, Isinya DCC’s Office, Mashuuru DCC’s Office, the Traffic Training School in Kajiado North, Oltinga Center, Oltinga Center in Kajiado West and Loitokitok Stadium.
Kericho County features Kericho Green Stadium, Sosiot Grounds, Sigowet DCC’s Office, Kipsitet DCC’s Office, Kipkelion DCC’s Office, Londiani County Stadium and Kapkatet Stadium.
Bomet County includes Bomet Stadium, Longisa Youth Empowerment Ground, Sigor Play Ground, Sotik Township DCC’s Office and Konoin Stadium.
Kakamega County will recruit at Bukhungu Stadium, Malinya Stadium, Solio Play Ground, Isanjiro Play Ground, Shikutse DCC’s Office, Lumakanda Township Primary School, Matete Playing Ground, Kongoni DCC’s Office, Navakholo DCC’s Play Ground, Khwisero Sports Ground, Mumias East DCC’s Office, Matungu DCC’s Office, Bomani Grounds and Shiatsala Play Ground.
Vihiga County will use Hamisi Sports Ground, Luanda DCC’s Office, Emuhaya DCC’s Office, Sabatia DCC’s Office, Shaviringa DCC’s Office and Kindundu Stadium.
Bungoma County’s centres include Bungoma North DCC’s Office, Tongaren DCC’s Office, Kiamaeti DCC’s Office, Amtala Sports Centre, Kanduyi Airstrip, Bumula DCC’s Office, Sirisia Sports Ground, Bokoli Division Headquarters, Pan Paper Grounds, Musese CDF Grounds, Mt. Elgon Police Divisional Headquarters, Kopsiro DCC’s Office and Cheptais Police Station.
Busia County will recruit at Busia Municipal Stadium, Butula Youth Polytechnic, Funyula Stadium, Siagonjo Stadium, Nambale Polytechnic, Amagoro Police Headquarters, Amukura Stadium and the DCC’s Office in Amukura.
Siaya County will use Siaya Stadium, Ugenya DCC’s Office, Sawagongo DCC’s Office, Wagai Primary School, Nyasanda Primary School, Bondo University Grounds, Usigu DCC’s Office and Nyilima Centre Grounds.
Kisumu County includes Kenyatta Grounds, Mamboleo Show Ground, Ojola DCC’s Office, Kombewa DCC’s Office, Nyando DCC’s Office, Rabuor Primary School, Chemelil Sugar Stadium and Nyakach Sub County Police Headquarters.
Homa Bay County venues include Homa Bay Police Headquarters, Ndhiwa Police Headquarters, Magunga Primary School, Sena Airstrip, Sindo DCC’s Office, Onunga Stadium, Kosele Stadium, Kendubay Showground, Got Oyaro DCC’s Office, Pundo Karaila Sports Ground and Rangwe Market.
Migori County will recruit at Migori Stadium, Piny Oyie DCC’s Grounds, Moi Nyatike School, Migingo Grounds, Sori Stadium, Rongo Sub County Headquarters, Awendo ACC’s Office, Uriri DCC’s Headquarters, Kuria West Police Headquarters, Mabera Social Hall, Kegonga DCC’s Office and Ntimaru DCC’s Office.
Kisii County’s centres include Kisii Stadium, Kerina Ground, Marani Football Ground, Nyantrago Play Ground, Ogembo DCC’s Office, Nyamarambe Stadium, Etago Green Stadium, Nyamache Stadium, Sameta Stadium, Kenyenya Green Stadium and Kisii Stadium for Kitutu Central.
Nyamira County has Nyamira DCC’s Office, Ekerenyo DCC’s Grounds, Matutu Police Station, Manga DCC’s Office and Rigoma Market.
Nairobi County will conduct recruitment at Moi Sports Centre Kasarani for Kasarani, Njiru, Roysambu and Ruaraka, Kamukunji Sports Grounds, Pumwani Play Ground, Vision Grounds in Embakasi South, Dandora Stadium, Tena Grounds, Jakaranda Grounds, Humama Grounds, City Stadium, Nyayo Stadium for Lang’ata and Kibra, KTTC Gigiri for Westlands, Ndurarua Stadium for both Dagoretti North and South, Mathare Depot Play Ground and the NCIA DCI Training School in South C.
With all venues laid out, the emerging issues become clearer.
The distribution is wide but inconsistent, with some counties receiving numerous centres in remote or administratively controlled areas that lack transparency, while others rely heavily on stadiums and public grounds that allow easier public oversight.
The process remains highly manual, vulnerable to discretion, favoritism and corruption, especially in centres controlled by local offices rather than neutral grounds.
The absence of digital verification or structured oversight leaves gaps that can be exploited.

e, and its fairness will depend not on the number of centres listed but on the integrity of officers managing them.
