Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has ruled out supporting former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for the presidency, arguing that the top seat should rotate to other regions.
In an interview, Natembeya was asked whether he would back Gachagua if the courts cleared him to run. His response was categorical: no.
The outspoken governor said the Mt Kenya region has already held the presidency for decades, and he warned that concentrating power in the same region would not be healthy for the country.
