The Kenya Meteorological Department says rainfall will remain strong during early March before a temporary dry spell develops there after.
Acting Director Edward Muriuki explained that the change will occur as the Madden–Julian Oscillation moves into a phase that reduces cloud formation and rainfall.
The rains will likely return toward the end of March, with April expected to record the peak of the long rains season.
