Position: Logistics Officer
Reporting to: Returning Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a material distribution plan within the area of jurisdiction.
  • Preparing and executing route maps for the distribution of election materials.
  • Arranging election materials in readiness for collection by Presiding Officers and Deputy Presiding Officers.
  • Coordinating the transport of election materials to various polling stations.
  • Supporting the Returning Officer in the distribution and retrieval of election materials.
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in received and distributed materials in liaison with the Returning Officer.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all materials received, distributed, and retrieved.

Job Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Kenyan citizens of high integrity and strictly non-partisan.
  • Hold a degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Possess effective communication and report-writing skills.
  • Demonstrate proven organizational skills.
  • Be residents of the constituency or ward in which they apply.
  • Have knowledge in logistics, distribution, and retrieval of materials.
  • Be conversant with the geography, infrastructure, and terrain of the constituency or ward of application.
  • Be available for the entire electoral exercise period.

Wages

  • Logistics Officers will be paid Kshs. 1,500 per day.
