Police have launched investigations into a suspected triple homicide in Kagayu village, Nyeri County, after a man was arrested in connection with the deaths of his wife and two young children.
Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody after the bodies were discovered inside his house on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

According to police reports, the deceased woman was identified as Mary Nasoro, aged 30. The two children were a six-year-old boy and a two-and-a-half-year-old girl. The boy was enrolled at a nearby local school.
Investigators said the exact cause of death and the sequence of events remain under review, and the motive behind the incident has not yet been established.
The bodies were transferred to a mortuary, where postmortem examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation process.
