Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
The Voter Registration Clerk will be responsible for:
- Operating biometric registration kits (KIEMS/VIU tablets).
- Verifying the eligibility of applicants in line with electoral laws.
- Assisting applicants to complete registration forms accurately.
- Ensuring the safe custody of registration equipment and materials.
- Reporting and transmitting voter registration data daily to the Registration Officer.
- Upholding the IEBC Code of Conduct, data protection standards, and confidentiality.
- Providing courteous and inclusive service to all applicants, including persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must:
- Be Kenyan citizens aged 19 years or above.
- Hold a minimum of KCSE grade C- (minus) or its equivalent.
- Possess computer literacy and ICT skills.
- A diploma in ICT, Statistics, Education, Business Administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.
Remuneration
- Voter Registration Clerks based at Huduma Centres will be paid Kshs. 1,500 per day.
