Job Description
Position: Ward-Based Voter Educator
Reporting to: Constituency Voter Educator
Duties and Responsibilities
The Ward-Based Voter Educator will be responsible for:
- Distributing and disseminating voter education materials in schools, churches/mosques, health centers, markets, community centers, farms, and business centers.
- Liaising with local stakeholders, relevant authorities, and community leaders to facilitate voter education activities.
- Conducting voter education within the County Assembly Ward.
- Serving as a link between the IEBC Constituency Election Coordinator, CSOs, CBOs, and the community.
- Assessing public understanding of electoral processes and activities in the ward.
- Monitoring and evaluating voter education providers in the ward.
- Preparing and submitting weekly activity reports to the Constituency Voter Educator.
- Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Must be a Kenyan citizen of high integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the local area and community structures will be an advantage.
- Availability for the entire voter education period.
Wages
- County Voter Educators: Kshs. 2,500 per day
- Constituency Voter Educators: Kshs. 2,000 per day
- Ward-Based Voter Educators: Kshs. 1,500 per day
