Shock as Young Bomet Mother Daisy Chepkemoi Found Death Inside Dispensary Toilet
A family in Bomet County is reeling from grief after the sudden death of a young mother of two, who collapsed and died in a dispensary toilet shortly after leaving home to seek treatment.
According to her husband, Wesley Tumising Kiprotich, the tragedy struck on a day like any other. He explained that his wife had assured their children she would be back soon after heading out around 2pm, but that promise turned into the last words they ever heard from her.
“She left the kids around 2pm, assuring them she would be back in no time. Unfortunately, that was the last time they saw their mum alive,” Wesley told the media. “I returned home that evening and did not find her. I tried calling her several times, but she was not answering. Later, I was informed by friends that she had gone to the dispensary for medical help.”
The young mother reportedly told neighbours and acquaintances she was going to seek treatment, but never made it back. Hours later, she was found lifeless inside the dispensary’s toilet, leaving behind two children and a devastated husband.
Wesley, who was away when his wife left, said the loss has been unbearable for the family. He described her as a devoted wife and mother who always placed her family first.
An autopsy report has since been conducted to establish the cause of death, as relatives and friends continue to console the grieving family.
The incident has raised concern among locals, many of whom are calling for improved healthcare facilities and closer attention to emergencies within rural dispensaries.
For Wesley and his children, however, the reality is far more personal: a once lively home has fallen silent, and the family must now come to terms with a future without the woman who anchored their lives.
