Fresh details have emerged about the killing of a woman in the Kilimani area of Nairobi. The victim, identified as Anne Keya, died after her estranged boyfriend allegedly stabbed her several times.
Family members identified her body at the city mortuary two days after the attack. The incident happened on Thursday evening and shocked residents and colleagues.
Family Says Suspect Harassed Victim for Months
According to Anne’s family, the suspect had harassed and threatened her for several months. The pair reportedly met while living in Kirinyaga County.
Anne’s mother claimed the suspect had earlier threatened to kill her in Kerugoya. She said the relationship faced repeated violence and constant conflict.
A colleague who worked with Anne also described the relationship as toxic and dangerous. The colleague claimed the suspect often demanded money and abused alcohol heavily.
Knife Threats Escalated Violence

The violence later followed them to their workplace in Kilimani. Witnesses said the suspect arrived carrying a knife before attacking Anne.
A colleague tried pulling Anne away after spotting the suspect armed with the weapon. Moments later, screams erupted as the suspect allegedly stabbed her.
Victim Died at the Scene
Witnesses said Anne suffered severe bleeding immediately after the attack. She died a few minutes later at the scene before receiving medical assistance.
