Emotions High as Remains of Police Officer Nzuve, Who Died in Haiti, Received at JKIA (PHOTOS)

The body of Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from Haiti. National Police Service received his body.

The fallen officer, who served under the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM), lost his life in a road accident on September 1 while on duty in the Caribbean nation.

His return home was marked by a solemn reception led by the Commandant of the National Police College Embakasi “A” Campus, Mr. Isaac Alimaa, SAIG.

Family members, including his mother, Mrs. Serah Nzuve, stood by in grief as uniformed officers carried the casket draped in the Kenyan flag. The moment was heavy with emotion, as the National Police Service fraternity, senior commanders, and colleagues gathered to honor their fallen comrade.

Among those present were the Commandant of the Rapid Deployment Unit, Mr. Aggrey Shamala, AIG; the Director of Medical Services for the Administration Police Service, Madam Lilian Kanini, AIG; the Chief of Staff for the APS, Mr. Haron Nthiga, AIG; and the NPS Spokesperson, Mr. Muchiri Nyaga, AIG.

In a message of condolence, the National Police Service conveyed its deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and colleagues of Corporal Nzuve, assuring them of unwavering support during this difficult time.

After the brief ceremony, the body was moved to Chiromo Mortuary for preservation. Burial arrangements, officials said, would be communicated in due course.
