Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of coordinating with

President William Ruto in private, a move he claims affects party nominations for the upcoming Narok by-elections.

Kioni alleged that Gachagua convened a secret meeting with local leaders in Narok County on an undisclosed date to justify why the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) had denied Narok Town Ward aspirant Joshua Ole Kaputa a nomination.

Speaking to Hot 96 on Sunday evening, Kioni said the meeting involved 15 attendees, including members of the clergy. He claimed that Gachagua indicated there was an arrangement with President Ruto to ensure that Joshua would eventually secure the nomination.

"Gachagua told them that William Ruto has already sent emissaries to them and they had an arrangement to put their houses in order and then meet to have a discussion," Kioni alleged.

The allegations, if true, suggest behind-the-scenes maneuvering ahead of the by-elections, raising questions about internal party processes and transparency.
